Stella.

Stella is a Greyhound and like so many fell from grace.
She ran the track and tried so hard but never won a race.

They treated her so badly, she never did know why
They dumped her on a busy road and left her there to die.

She tried to run for cover but did not get too far,
The accident soon happened, she was run over by a car.

But God was looking down that day and he let Stella live,
He recognised that though broken, she still had love to give.

Now Stella lives a happy life and I'm so proud to say
That I AM THE LUCKY PERSON
WHO RECEIVES THAT LOVE EACH DAY.
