Leo Boris Fudge And Leon.

In the stillness of the night
When all have gone to sleep,
I cuddle my Lurcher puppy
Who's ill and tired and weak.

His life has been so shocking,
From birth he was abused,
His owner burned his body
With cigarettes he had used.

His brothers all made it,
His sister passed away
It breaks my heart to see them
Safe in my arms they lay.

Their legs and spirits broken,
Sad, shivering little wrecks
They look so weak and helpless
With burn marks on their necks.

There'll come a day of reckoning,
When all from earth return
I hope and pray his life will end
In hell where he will burn.

I'll mend their broken bodies,
And fill their hearts with love
I only hope God's looking down,
Protecting them from above.

Backcouch

Dedicated to Linda Napper, who took those little pups in and gave them hope,
before sending them to "Lexus" to get better.
