Let a Greyhound race into your heart.
Please try to support the excellent work that Greyhounds in Need is doing for the Galgos in spain where conditions are terrible.

"Adopting just one Greyhound won't change the world, but the world will surely change
for that one Greyhound."
| Isn't he beautiful? Read what happens to thousands like him every day in the Scottish Daily Mail article on the left then tell me, IS THAT OK WITH YOU? | ![]() |

Some people want to keep him in a kennel at the track with just two hours out to stretch his legs each day and with no company except his Greyhound friends who are in the same position that he is. IS THAT OK WITH YOU? |
| When he is three or four years old he will be considered too old to race because he will not be able to compete with the younger dogs so his “owner” may shoot him, or cut off his ears so that he can’t be traced from the ear tattoos and let him bleed to death on the moors, or dispose of him in some other horrendous way. Each year about 30,000 Greyhounds like him will be bred in Ireland and the UK to produce the relatively small number required to replace the ones leaving the tracks. The rest who don’t make the grade will be “disposed of”. IS THAT OK WITH YOU? |
If these things are not OK with you please explore this web site further to find out what is happening in the Greyhound racing industry. There are a lot of poems on the site, and you may think that they are not an appropriate means of conveying our message, but I think that poems can sometimes be a better way of making close contact with people than text. There are plenty of stories and news items as well, "muses" hence the Greyhound Muses title, but please remember that they are not “stories” in the sense that they are fictitious, I wish they were but they are true accounts of what is happening to lovely Greyhounds, just like the one on this page, every day.
Please do not support Greyhound racing in any way. Please tell all your friends to visit web sites like this one and find out what you have discovered, and please help us by doing what ever you can to bring about the end of one of the most cruel and barbaric industries in existence today.
