Bella.
Due to kidney failure, our Darling 'Bella' who was 10 years old was tragically taken from us and made her final journey across 'Rainbow Bridge' on Thursday 6th December 2007. Our sweet, beautiful girl was born on the 28th September 1997 and we were blessed and honoured to have shared in the last four years of her precious life. When we first became aware of the terrible plight of racing greyhounds through the Greyhound Action campaign, we were compelled to join the campaign to end greyhound racing due to the inherent cruelty involved and this also inspired us to want to give a loving home to a rescued retired greyhound. This is when our darling Bella came into our life. Bella was six years old when she became a part of our life and like so many other racing greyhounds she had been the victim of abuse and neglect, because of this Bella was an incredibly frightened girl and only through time and with endless love from us was she able to regain her trust in people and live out the last years of her life in peace. Beloved Bella, we will always remember your sweet gentle ways, your soft brown soulful eyes and your beautiful face and we will treasure the four short years we were honoured to have been blessed by your angelic presence. We will continue to campaign in your name and we'll never give up until we see an end to greyhound racing. Oh Bella, you are so dearly loved and missed and you will forever live in our hearts, thank you for the gift of your life. All our love always Helen and Mindy xxxx
